The tale is set in a time that was drastically transformed a decade before, due to the rise of mysterious portals connecting all of the earth to a world of monsters and magic.
Because modern weaponization isn’t working against these creatures, certain human beings are blessed with supernatural powers and are known as “hunters.” The story tells the story of Sung Jinwoo, a man who relentlessly hunts down monsters through gates of low rank in order to help pay the medical expenses of his mother and his sister’s college education.

Following Season 1’s Season 1 finale was officially broadcast on Japan and the studio behind it unveiled a teaser trailer for the sequel. Solo leveling Season 2 is titled “Arise from the Shadow,” and will air on Crunchyroll as it airs.

The manhwa is comprised of more than 179 chapters based on the main story, and additional chapters made up of side stories.
