AntaraNews.net – Marco Bezzecchi successfully won the MotoGP Indian 2023 after beating Jorge Martin in a tense race at the Buddh Circuit, Sunday (24/9). VR46 Racing Team rider, Marco Bezzecchi, became champion of the 2023 Indian MotoGP. Francesco Bagnaia crashed in the 13th race of the 2023 MotoGP.
In the race at the Buddh International Circuit, Sunday (24/9/2023), Bagnaia was able to take the leading position. However, Bezzecchi was again able to reclaim the leading position near the starting line.
Four laps in, Bezzecchi started to get away from Bagnaia. The gap between the two is up to 2.185 seconds.
Marc Marquez fell at Turn 1 after five laps of the race. He lost grip and slipped from fourth to 16th position.
Bagnaia crashed with eight laps remaining in the race. He lost his grip and failed to finish.
Bezzecchi was not caught up until the race was over. He was the fastest in 21 laps with a time of 36 minutes 59.157 seconds.
Jorge Martin finished second in this race after winning a fierce battle with Fabio Quartararo.
With this result, Bezzecchi collected 248 points, in third place in the 2023 MotoGP standings. Meanwhile, Jorge Martin earned 279 points, just 13 points away from Bagnaia in first place.
