The Indonesian National Team Qualified for the U-23 Asian Cup After Defeating Turkmenistan

AntaraNews.net – The Indonesian U-23 national team managed to qualify for the final round of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. This certainty was obtained after Indonesia beat Turkmenistan 2-0 in the final Group K match of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Tuesday (12/9 ).

At the start of the first half, or to be precise in the 40th second, Indonesian U-23 National Team defender Elkan Baggott made a passing error in the back line which led to Turkmenistan forward Priyev Ruslan. Fortunately, Ruslan’s shot was caught by Indonesian goalkeeper Ernando Ari.

In the 10th minute, the U-23 Indonesian National Team was actually able to break into Turkmenistan’s goal through Hokky Caraka’s flick after continuing Pratama Arhan’s pass from the left side. In the 71st minute, the Indonesian National Team got a golden opportunity through Witan Sulaeman who managed to block the kick of the Turkmenistan goalkeeper who made a blunder when he was about to kick in front of the goal. However, unfortunately the Turkmenistan goalkeeper’s kick hit Witan’s hand.

In the 75th minute Shin Tae Yong brought on Muhammad Ramadhan Sananta to replace Marselino Ferdinan.

In the 85th minute, Arkhan Fikri controlled the ball extraordinary in the left corner of the Turkmenistan defense.

In the 89th minute, Arkhan Fikri’s shot was able to threaten the Turkmenistan goal but was still caught by the opposing goalkeeper.
