The New Bali Tourist Police Are Excited To be On Patrol

News, AntaraNews – Bali’s newly formed tourism police civil service division has been officially launched and is now on patrol.

The newly-appointed officers will be on the move among Bali’s top resorts and at the top tourist attractions to aid tourists in need and explain the rules, dos and don’ts on the island.

The news was announced earlier in the week, much to joy of Bali fans that the new 73 Bali Tourism Police agents will be joined during their patrols by specially-trained Kintamani Bali dogs.

The pups, who are six months old, were in the training phase for three months. They’re on hand to brighten the faces of tourists, offer comforting presence when people get overwhelmed, and serve as an engaging conversation for the officers at work.

These dogs aren’t Security trained K9s such as sniffer dogs. However, they were trained to help security officers in more stressful situations as well.

The dogs have been trained, are current on all vaccinations and are ready to interact with Bali travelers, including small youngsters and people with special requirements.

The head of the Bali Province Satpol PP, Dewa Nyoman Dharmadi informed reporters that the brand new teams on patrol will help in making the island more welcoming to those who are among the minority of poorly well-behaved tourists who visit the island.

Dharmadi declared, “Resolving it completely is not yet possible, but minimizing the disruption of order, especially at tourist attractions.”

“We aren’t alone. We’re joining forces with police officers and tourism officials.”

Seventy-three of the officers that are trained 42 officers will be sent for deployment to Badung Regency, and the rest of the 31 officers will work on tourism spots in the remainder area of island.

The Badung Regency units have been working on the streets. the remaining units will follow soon. They’ve been taught to provide tourism assistance in ensuring the public’s safety and security as well as being able to confidently speak using English.

Dharmadi stated that Tourism Satpol PP units are already proficient in English since they been through a complete month of instruction in learning the language, as well as their training in police.

Dharmadi stated, “Starting today, there will be a separation of duties as well as shifts, operating vehicles. “There are two shifts from morning to afternoon and afternoon until 9 pm at night.”

He also said that the new staff are on hand to offer a service similar to a guide and answer any queries tourists might ask about the region They can also assist in locating the right direction, translate or translate if the situation is getting complicated, and more.

If they witness tourists violating the law, or disrespecting the local customs, they’ll intervene and assist in resolving the problem.

The chief of Police of Badung Regency, I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara, interviewed reporters after the police officers began their journey for work.

He explains “A bigger role is to preventive and pre-emptive actions, socializing tourism-related rules on what can/can’t do in Bali, specifically Badung.”

They were all smiles as they set walking out for their very first patrol day. Tourists are likely to spot officers wearing white polo shirts, brown collared shirts as well as shorts in khaki.

The informal uniform, reminiscent of a ranger was selected to ensure that teams can be easily accessed by people visiting the area.

The officers will be on the move and will be engaging with tourists as well as making sure they are in touch.

Visitors are invited to talk for as long as they want and be sure to say hello to the dogs as well. They’re trained to stay still and pose for pictures!
